G0709 14" x 40" Gunsmithing Gearhead Lathe

What makes the G0709 14" x 40" Gunsmithing Gearhead Lathe a "gunsmithing" lathe is that it comes with features typically not found on standard lathes, such as the high-precision NSK bearings, extra-large 1-9/16" spindle bore and a "spider" mount system. The spider mount system has four brass-tipped screws that stabilize long shafting and rifle barrels through the outboard end of the spindle. Supplied with a 2 HP motor, the 8-speed gearhead of the G0709 produces spindle speeds from 70-2000 RPM. The tailstock lock system features a drive hub, which allows you to use a 1/2” torque wrench to clamp the tailstock in place at a pre-determined torque setting. This ensures consistent draw-down alignment every time, even with multiple lathe operators using the machine. The G0709 features a foot brake that also acts as a safety device and can bring the machine to an instant stop. The G0709 also comes with a D1-5 spindle, a 200 series quick change tool post, flood coolant system, LED work light, and a pull-out chip tray. Like all Grizzly gunsmithing lathes, the G0709 comes with a 1-year warranty covering parts and assuring the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.) The G0709 manual was written by our U.S. based Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. This 1,300 lb. heavy-duty cast iron planer offers rock solid rigidity and accurate planing for years to come. The hinged top allows easy access to the rollers and knives. The hood comes standard with a 5" dust port for easy attachment to any dust collection system. The cutterhead is complete with four high speed steel knives and turns at 4,800 rpm producing 19,200 cuts per minute. The anti-kick back fingers and pressure bar are located in close proximity to the cutterhead for an exceptional finish. The well designed infeed and outfeed rollers are fitted with roller bearings for long roller life. The sectional infeed and chip breaker are specially designed to allow multiple boards to be planed at the same time. The adjustable bed roller facilitates both rough and finish planing. The solid steel outfeed roller is machined with small serrations to insure a smooth finish yet provide positive feeding. The two-speed gearbox with machined detents is quickly changed up front when switching from rough to finish work. You may easily raise the massive ribbed cast iron, ground finished table 1 /16 with each turn of the hand wheel. The model 201 is available with a 7-1 /2 horsepower, 3-phase or single-phase motor. This planer is perfect for the small to medium shop with continuous planing requirements. -

This is a production class Dual Drum Sander that is loaded with features. A 7-1/2 HP motor drives the dual steel drums, which have a hard durometer rubber coating to ensure a flat, mar free finish. Independently adjustable rear drum makes fine tuning easy. A heavy cast iron table incorporates four solid jackscrews with chain drive timing to keep it level at all times. The heavy-duty poly conveyor belt provides a positive grip on the stock. The 1/4 HP feed motor is coupled to a two-speed forward/reverse gearbox that will sand 8 and 12 surface feet per minute. The heavy steel cabinet provides vibration free sanding, with plenty of storage space underneath.
